01 Information we process
ClearDiligence is designed to minimize the personal data it handles. In the course of using the platform, the following may be processed:
- Query inputs. Stock tickers and commands you enter to run an analysis, used to retrieve public filings and market data for that request.
- Public source data. Filings retrieved from SEC EDGAR and quotes from market-data providers — public information, not personal data about you.
- Local preferences. Interface settings — text scale, active timeframe, filter and button states — stored in your browser's local storage on your device and never transmitted to us.
- Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent) generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability.
We do not ask for account credentials, payment details, government identifiers, or financial-account numbers, and you should not enter them.
02 How data is used
Query inputs are used solely to fulfill the analysis you request — resolving a ticker to a filing, fetching the document, and generating the structured output. Technical logs are used to operate, secure, and debug the service. We do not sell data, and we do not use your queries to build a profile of you.
03 Third-party services
To function, ClearDiligence sends requests to third parties, each governed by its own terms and privacy practices:
- SEC EDGAR — retrieval of public company filings.
- Market-data provider — equity quotes and reference data.
- Anthropic (Claude API) — the text of a retrieved filing is sent for structured analysis. Filing text is public; your identity is not attached to it.
- Hosting infrastructure — serving the application.
04 Cookies & local storage
ClearDiligence does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only to remember interface preferences (such as text size and persistent control states) on your device. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
05 Data retention
The platform does not maintain user accounts or a persistent store of your queries. Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security and operational purposes and are then rotated out.
06 Your choices
You control what you enter — do not submit confidential or personal information into the command line. You can clear locally stored preferences at any time through your browser. Because the demonstration holds no account data, there is no profile to export or delete on our side.
07 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
